Starting off STRONG 23 weeks into the season… Bit of an odd weekend here with the FA Cup games going on during the weekend and regular season games being moved to mid-week. Nonetheless, let’s get this party started.

SPARKNOTES: Chelsea v. Liverpool is the “game of the week”; City gets hammered; Rooney does his job.

Tuesday, January 31st

Arsenal v. Watford
@ Emirates Stadium, London
Upset special, Arsenal have a tricky game against  Southampton in the FA Cup. I could see them not really caring about this one. Watford on the other hand will be fired up with nothing to lose. Could easily see them pulling some crazy shit out here. 2-1 Watford.

Middlesbrough v. West Brom
@ Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough.
West Brom comes out of the Riverside with a clean 3 points in hand. Middlesbrough has struggled all season and won’t be doing anything important today. 1-0 West Brom.

Swansea v. Southampton
@The Liberty, Swansea
Yup you guessed it the Swans pull off a tie and the Welsh go crazy. Southampton will be beat up after playing Arsenal but will manage to score on Swansea’s miserable defense. Remember tie’s aren’t the worst thing in soccer. 1-1 but a mental win for the Swans.

Bournemouth v. Crystal Palace
@ Dean Court, Bournemouth
Dud of a game. If more than 5 Americans watch this game, they were either held at gunpoint and forced, or needed help falling asleep. 1-0 Bournemouth (maybe even 0-0).

Sunderland v. Tottenham
@ Stadium of Light, Sunderland
Sp*rs will crush the last place team here. Of course this game will be brushed under the table since it’s Tottenham. Harry Kane will score here and act all English ‘n shit. 3-0 Tottenham.

Burnley v. Leicester City
@ Turf Moor, Lancashire
I have a good feeling about this one. Burnley played extremely well last weekend, only losing in the 93rd minute because of some BS. Leicester City continues to struggle and will try and make a big statement here showing they still have some magic. 4-2 Leicester City.

Liverpool v. Chelsea
@ Anfield, Liverpool
Easily the game of the week. Liverpool have been slipping to shitty teams but have come up big when it comes to power teams. Liverpool did beat Chelsea last time they met, so of course meaning the boys in blue will be looking for blood. Diego Costa plays with his boxing gloves on and obviously scores a stunner. 2-0 Chelsea.

Wednesday, February 1

West Ham v. Manchester City
@ London Stadium, London
West Ham pull of a big one here. This small club shows that heart is more important than money. Pep Guardiola has struggled (by his standards) in the Premier League and the Hammers make him pay. 3-2 West Ham.

Stoke v. Everton
@ Britannia Stadium, Stoke
Everton are on a rolling like a college kid at EDC.  The big Belgian up front is jamming out as their young talent is proving their worth. I do believe Stoke is destined for great things, just not this year. 1-0 Everton.

Manchester United v. Hull City
@ Old Trafford, Manchester
If Manchester loses this one the Red Devils will be calling for heads to roll. That being said I strongly believe Rooney scores again. Of course the English press vilifies him because he’ll get wasted after the game. 2-0 Manchester United.
