Recap of Last Night: Bang Bang back to 2-0. Butler handled NOVA and crushed the Wildcats’ dream of clinching last night. +10 was a handy lock. As for the Tar Heels, Roy and the boys took Pitino and company to town. Covered the spread and beat them into next week. Let’s continue the joy ride into Thursday nights’ matchups. Overall Record (9-5).
Cleveland Cavs vs. New York Knicks
Spread: -10.5 Cleveland
Moneyline: (-570 Cavs, +480 Knicks)
Fresh off the All Star Break, we head right back to Quicken Loans Arena to have our asses handed to us, though at least questions regarding the Knicks roster moves are finally over (the trade deadline ended at 3pm today). Hopefully a different outing than I’m expecting from the Knicks but unlikely (as usual). Look for Carmelo to be persuaded throughout the game to come yonder to Cleveland by the King and company.
Predictions: Lock the over 223. I expect fresh legs to lead to a high scoring affair. LeBron is going to want to get right back on track and I figure shots will fall in Cleveland tonight. Hopefully the Knicks keep it close because Cleveland tends to pull their starters early if they jump out to an early lead. Look for these two teams to battle early and the Knicks defense to give up after the second half. I expect the Cavs to cover and ML to hit.
New York Rangers vs. Toronto Maple Leafs
Spread: -1.5 Maple Leafs
Moneyline: (+105 Rangers, -115 Maple Leafs)
Another Canadian matchup for the Blue Shirts and hopefully the outcome of this one is a little better. The Rangers offense needs to get going and provide Hank with something substantial. Look for AV and company to take it to the Leafs tonight in Canada and get the offense cookin’.
Predictions: Lock the Rangers +1.5. I never get to say this because the Rags are usually the underdogs. Tonight is a time to capitalize. Bet the House on them +1.5. EASY MONEY. I have a feeling they smoke Toronto. I’d expect the Money Line and the under to hit as well.
