This honestly is mind blowing and I can’t believe I am writing this article, but there is a phenomena that is going on right now that a light NEEDS to be shined on. ESPN hasn’t brought enough attention to this in my opinion but I’m prepared to do the dirty work.
The Chicago Bulls, for all intents and purposes, are a pretty average basketball team (41-41 regular season)… But when Turner Network Television (TNT) is broadcasting their games, the Chicago Bulls turn into anything but average.
Here are some facts about the #TNTBulls you may want to be aware of:
- They have won their last 20 straight home regular season games televised on TNT;
- Their last road loss aired on TNT was against the New York Knicks (obviously an anomaly) back on January 12;
- Their record this season on TNT is (8-2) with wins over the Cavs, Spurs, Warriors, Celtics (3x), Jazz & Heat.
I really didn’t think this was a “thing” until last night – beating a #1 seed in the playoffs on the road will open your eyes I guess. With that Game 1 win over the Celtics, yeah, I am a believer.
Also, look away Boston fans, because the schedule isn’t great with Games 2 & 4 scheduled to also be TNT broadcasts.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but these Chicago Bulls could be that #8 seed that upsets a #1…
