Nothing says corporate water cooler talk more than random golf knowledge to drop on co-workers. You may not be able to afford a country club membership, but you can always bullshit your way to new promotion by being the boss’s go to on all things golf. So here we got a Dilfer Dime (we will miss you Trent, I bet you would have loved talking some Mitch Trubisky) for each water cooler trip, today.

Water Cooler Trip #1: This weekend is the Zurich Classic. The tournament is New Orleans, not in Switzerland. Perfect opportunity to reminisce about the Spring Break or Bachelor Party trip, and attempting to drink one Hurricane for each color of the rainbow and waking up in the drunk tank with only one sandal after apparently throwing the other at a police officer’s horse.

Water Cooler Trip #2: TEAM GOLF!! The pros will be playing rounds of alternating shots on Thursday & Saturday and best ball on Friday & Sunday. The first time the PGA will be playing in teams, outside of the Ryder Cup, since 1981. This is awesome as the best ball play will have everyone bombing off the tee with two opportunities to land in the fairway. The alternating shot format can bring out that emotion that golf always seems to lack when either both golfers hit their groove, or when one golfer just ain’t carrying their weight.

Water Cooler Trip #3: The most interesting groupings of the weekend include:
The Favorites – Rickie Fowler & Jason Day: Two top 10 golfers in one pairing
The Springbok Bombers – Louis Oosthuizen & Branden Grace: Big Hitters from South Africa
Hook’Em Horns – Jordan Spieth & Ryan Palmer: Texas boys team up to try and get Palmer a win
The Brothers Koepka – Brooks & Chase Koepka: Looking for the sibling arguments on the course
The St.Patricks – Patrick Reed & Patrick Cantlay: No idea who Patrick Cantley is, but Patrick Reed was the star of the Ryder Cup and the fire that he brings to team golf is great.

Water Cooler Trip #4: The PGA is counting both golfers as champions, however The Masters will not extend an invite to the Zurich Classic victor to Augusta next year unless they qualify in another manner. C’mon Man!! RIP OG Sunday NFL Countdown. Let the winner in the Masters, it could add great drama to Sunday.

Alright guys that is WAY too much water for a Friday, even if you’re recovering from a Thirty Thursday hangover. Time to hit the bar for a great liquid lunch. Let’s enjoy some great and unique golf this weekend.
