Rick Perry, former Republican presidential candidate, Texas governor and current United States Secretary of Energy, recently defended the advancement of coal energy saying, “Here’s a little economics lesson: supply and demand. You put the supply out there and the demand will follow.”
And, well… That’s just NOT the economics lesson everyone in the entire world has been taught on their first day in Economics 101. So, naturally… The internet roasted the shit out of him.
And away we goooo!!
"Here's 100 lbs of coal."
"Um, I don't want this."
"Too late! You just got supplied, bitch!"

Rick Perry is correct! Raise supply and demand will rise to meet it. That is why I am opening a nationwide chain of Blacksmith shops. $$$$ pic.twitter.com/xt71bQnrTF

And you don’t have to waste your time, I checked out the link, and that last one is entirely legit. Granted, it could be a completely different Rick Perry – but holy shit is that funny.
